My name is Marly Oosterhof.
I’m a medical doctor who learned—through both practice and personal experience – that true healing goes far beyond diagnosing and treating disease.
In 2005, I founded Vita Wellness and Health, originally with a focus on medical weight loss. Over the years, my work gradually evolved as I began to see what many of my patients were really searching for: not just symptom relief, but balance, clarity, and a sense of wholeness. That shift – from curing to healing – changed everything.
My own health journey deepened this understanding. It led me to explore a more integrated approach to wellbeing and to further train in nutrition, homeopathy, and lifestyle medicine. More importantly, it taught me what it feels like to be on the other side of care – to slow down, to listen inward, and to rebuild trust in the body.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of medicine, lifestyle, and lived experience. I support people who feel out of sync with their health – physically, emotionally, or spiritually – through coaching, education, and immersive retreats. I don’t believe in quick fixes. I do believe in sustainable change, compassionate guidance, and meeting people where they are.
I’m deeply inspired by health, travel, nature, and food – not as rules to follow, but as ways to reconnect with ourselves and the world around us.
What I am: a physician who values evidence, presence, and the human story behind every health journey.
What I’m not: a chef, photographer, personal trainer, or someone with all the answers.
Here, I share reflections, lessons, and moments from my own path – hoping they may gently inspire you to explore yours. What I share is shaped by lived experience, curiosity, and a love for health, travel, and simple, nourishing moments. The photos are often taken on my phone, and the meals are simply what I enjoy creating and sharing along the way.
You’re very welcome here.
